Beat the summer heat in Baldassare Forestiere’s cavernous underground gardens! Yes, you heard that right, this man built an underground garden working for 40 years on the incredible structure, beginning in 1906, over 100+ years ago!
The temperature in the underground gardens remains temperate year-round, and you can really appreciate the beauty of the structure when you remove yourself from the Central Valley’s punishing rays! This is a site that is not to be missed, and you won’t soon see anything like this again!

As a bonus, you can stop at Table Mountain Casino on your way out, it is only five minutes away, and you can loop that road back into Clovis/Fresno!
